RED DEER – The Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) has released its full regular season schedule for the 2021-22 season. The schedules for the U18AAA Division, U18AA Division and U15AA Division can be viewed on their respective websites.
“Our league is so excited to get back to playing after a season that had it’s difficulties,” said Lise Cote, Chair, Elite Female Hockey Committee for Hockey Alberta. “The schedule being released is another step towards to seeing our players on the ice for a season full of great hockey action.”
A total of just over 400 regular season games have been scheduled across the 30 teams in the three divisions. The regular season starts October 2 for the U18AAA division, and October 15 for the U18AA and U15AA divisions.
Included for each division is a Showcase weekend. The U15AA division will hold their Showcase December 10-12, with the U18AA division hosting on December 17-19, and the U18AAA division on February 4-6. All showcases will be held in Red Deer at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre and the Servus Arena.
Fans can follow all the action in the AFHL by downloading Hockey Alberta’s official mobile app (created by HockeyTech) from Apple or Google Play. The app features real-time scoring data direct from each arena. Follow every game in real time with complete box scores, game summary and up to the minute player stats. The Hockey Alberta app also features past Scores, future Schedules, Standings and both player and goalie stats.
AFHL games will also be livestreamed exclusively on HockeyTV. HockeyTV enables fans to watch all games from the 2021-22 season live and on-demand from anywhere in the world.
