AFHL Rivalry Week presented by ATB Returns for Second Season

RED DEER – The Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) is excited to announce the return of AFHL Rivalry Week presented by ATB, taking place November 13–22, 2026, bringing another exciting celebration of female hockey to communities across Alberta.

Following a successful inaugural event in 2025, Rivalry Week returns for its second season with an expanded lineup of featured games, enhanced fan experiences, and opportunities for young female hockey players to get involved.

This year’s event will feature eight marquee U18 AAA games across four featured rivalries, doubling the number of marquee games from the inaugural season. An additional 20 rivalry matchups have been scheduled across the U13 AA, U15 AA, and U18 AA divisions, ensuring teams and communities throughout the province have an opportunity to take part in the celebration.

Hockey Alberta is also pleased to welcome back ATB as the presenting partner of AFHL Rivalry Week for a second consecutive year, continuing its support of female hockey and the communities that make the game special.

“ATB is thrilled to cheer on the incredible athletes competing in the Alberta Female Hockey League’s Rivalry Week! Female hockey is one of the fastest-growing sports in Alberta, and the momentum is undeniable. This sport is building strong, confident leaders who make a difference both on and off the ice. We are proud to partner with Hockey Alberta to support and help accelerate that growth, and we wish all the teams the best of luck in what promises to be an electric 10 days of competition.” -Kris Noble, Associate Director ATB
