The Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) scholarship program is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 season.
The Alberta Female Hockey League will present up to 10 scholarships, valuing $1,000 each. These scholarships will be awarded to the student athletes who best exemplify the values of the AFHL; academics, athletics, and personal growth. These scholarships will be awarded to players who have plans of attending post-secondary during the 2025-2026 academic year. Student-Athletes applying for these scholarships do not necessarily need to be seeking to play hockey at that post-secondary institution. This applies to:
- Graduating U18 AAA players continuing onto post-secondary.
- Graduating U18 AA players continuing onto post-secondary.
Recipients will be identified by the Elite Female Hockey Committee. The committee will select recipients who are upstanding individuals with a high academic achievement, who are strong contributors to their hockey team and community.
Applications are to be submitted to Kendall Newell, no later than April 15.
